Kathleen, along with co-creators Stephanie Fagan and Chelsea B Lockie, is Executive Producer and lead actress of Woe is She.
In this new comedy webseries, Jenny (played by Stephanie Fagan) has been diagnosed with depression and is trying hard to get better. As she tries to recover, she stays with her friend Nicole (played by Kathleen Simmonds), a flippant, somewhat superficial but well-meaning bad influence. In Season 1, we witness the ways their lives are affected and changed by Jenny’s diagnosis.
Woe is She was made by an all-female identifying creative team (Director, Writer, Lead Actresses and Producers). We aim to reach those who don't often see mental illness represented in a genuine way and sought to destigmatize depression by showing it in the ways we personally have experienced it. Woe is She is a series for anyone who has ever looked at their life with dark irreverence, and still managed to make others laugh.
